The Role

Building relationships is at the heart of what we do. So it’s no surprise we’re so passionate about our people. After all, they’re just as passionate about the communities we serve.

We’re committed to becoming one of the most efficient providers of affordable housing and community investment services. And while we exist to put customers first, create opportunity and enthuse our customers, we also strive to create an ambitious, inclusive place to work, where we recognise that every single one of us makes a difference.

Midland Heart has established itself as the leading developing housing and care organisation in the Midlands. We are looking for either an experienced or trainee Project Manager to join our team in Leicester. You will assist the Area Development Manager in identifying, securing and delivering new affordable housing schemes from inception through to completion, covering all aspects of project management and taking full responsibility for allocated projects.

Ideally we are looking for an individual who has experience working for a housing association and working in a role in housing development. Alternatively we will consider applicants who feel that they can demonstrate transferable skills and are willing to take up a trainee position, with progression into the Project Manager role after satisfactorily completing the training. If you have the drive and commitment to join our high-performing team, we’d like to hear from you.

All successful candidates will be subject to a Disclosure Barring Service check and costs will be met by Midland Heart.

If you are a disabled candidate and require a hard copy pack or a different format, for example large print, please contact the HR department on 0845 850 1020 ext 6555.

Please do read the role profile before you begin your application. CVs will not be considered, so please complete the application form in full.

Midland Heart aspires to be a digital organisation that minimises its impact on the environment. Wherever possible, we will conduct transactions digitally rather than by paper and ask that current and future employees share this commitment. Where required, we will support colleagues to be digitally enabled.
