The Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Legal Officer at our offices in Birmingham City Centre. You will be part of our Income Legal Team which is primarily responsible for:

  • Attending court hearings for rent possession claims as well as some gas injunction and trespass hearings.
  • Assisting in the initial stages of dispute resolution for disrepair cases.
  • Preparing legal documentation ready for court.
  • Maximising the company’s income collection and ensuring the best legal outcome for Midland Heart and its customers.

The ideal candidate must be flexible, organised and able to work to tight deadlines. You will also play a key role in furthering the growth and success of the department.

As a Legal Officer you will be required to attend the county courts in the regions covered by Midland Heart.  As such, it is essential that you can both drive and have access to a car.

If you have a sound knowledge of Housing Law and Civil Procedure Rules, and are able to both problem-solve and handle difficult situations, then we would like to hear from you.
