The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join us at Midland Heart as we implement a new model of service delivery for housing management. We have already implemented a highly innovative and successful Customer Hub resolving customer enquires at first point of contact. We are now developing our Place Team which will support the delivery of excellent customer services through innovative and proactive approaches to the management of our “places” ensuring they are places where people want to live both now and in the future.  Part of the Place Team is the Housing Management Ranger Service which started April 2017.

The Job role includes:

  • To carry out routine safety checks across designated patch of properties
  • Physically removing rubbish and other hazards identified (including bio-hazards)
  • Carrying out adhoc maintenance, cleaning and caretaking duties to communal areas and grounds.
  • To carry out low level grounds maintenance functions
  • Ensuring schemes are clean, safe and secure
  • Reporting repairs/incidents/housing management issues to the relevant departments/organisations to ensure prompt remedial action is taken
  • To provide a proactive estate management service to remove or mitigate hazards that present a risk of:
    • Harm to residents
    • Damage to our assets
    • Negative perceptions about the place

Our Head Office is based in Birmingham but we have opportunities to be part of teams that operate across our wider operational area of the Midlands. The successful candidates will have to travel, but we are particularly looking for anyone in Stoke, Nuneaton and Northants.
