The Role

We’re seeking a Stock Condition Surveyor to join us on a part-time basis (17.5 hours per week). You’ll carry out stock condition and energy performance surveys across our 33,000 unit Midland-wide property portfolio, capturing and reporting accurate and timely condition data which is all important in shaping our investment strategy - ensuring our homes are not only safe and legally compliant, but also high quality places where customers choose to live.

Who are Midland Heart? We’re a large and ambitious housing organisation providing more people with an affordable place to call home. We are improving our core landlord services, which includes ensuring that our asset management strategy continues to provide excellent value for money across our 33,000 unit mixed property portfolio. We’ll achieve this through hiring the best people who share our vision and values.

Our ideal candidate? You’ll hold a recognised building / M&E or supervisory site management related qualification (e.g. MCIOB, RICS), or equivalent level of expertise demonstrated through significant work experience. Essential to this role is demonstrable experience of delivering key building surveys including stock condition and energy performance audit (EPC). Joining a people focussed organisation, it goes without saying that you’ll be a team player with excellent communication skills and a can do attitude.

What do you get in return? Midland Heart is passionate about providing you with a great place to work alongside our CIPD award winning reward initiative. We invest in our employees by providing learning and development opportunities, alongside a competitive salary and generous annual leave entitlement. We value diversity; whoever you are, you will be valued and respected in your role.

Interested? To apply, please register on our candidate portal and submit a comprehensive CV alongside a cover letter of no more than two pages, clearly explaining how you meet the requirements of this role.

Closing date for receipt of completed applications is midnight on Sunday 16th February 2020.
