The Role
Midland Heart has an exciting opportunity for a Scheme Manager to join our Older People Services on a part-time, permanent basis for 12 hours per week. This role will be located at Fonteine Court, one of our mutual retirement living schemes which is conveniently located close by to the Town Centre, with excellent transport links.
In this role you will have the freedom to manage your own diary and responsibilities accordingly. Also, in addition to your salary you will also receive £1.47 per hour housing allowance.
Fonteine Court is made up of 49 flats which are home to our valued customers and there are spacious communal areas for our customers to enjoy too. Working as the face of Midland Heart at the scheme, you’ll be responsible for carrying out a range of tasks to support and deliver a brilliant Housing Management service – building strong working relationships with our customers to ensures their well-being of and the efficient running of the scheme.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Oversee regulatory compliance and building safety for the scheme.
- Ensure the scheme is well presented and a welcoming place for our customers to live.
- Ensure the security of the scheme and the safety of its residents.
- Deal with emergencies and work with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure maintenance and repairs are undertaken.
As part of your duties, you will also assist and monitor the general welfare of residents and promote their safety, independence and happiness.
Our ideal candidate?
- You’ll have previous health and safety/building safety experience and experience managing buildings.
- You'll have previous experience managing client groups such as the elderly, retired or vulnerable.
- You'll have a passion and enthusiasm for delivering quality services to vulnerable people.
- Strong verbal, written & IT communication skills.
